    Yes. Made it all quite a bit more convincing, to me. If Camina is the captain, if Fred's holding the reins, I can see how I wound up there.

    [ It makes more sense, at least. That she didn't just take up with a pirate. ]

    I still don't like it, though.

    It matters. At least here and now and to me.

    [ All of their opinions matter to her, though probably not for much longer. Miller's the closest thing she's got to being able to look up Ashford's criminal record, too. But she's got a different question for him. ]

    Do you ever wonder how this timeline nonsense works? Like if it's pulling us from different points, not just wiping our memory, doesn't the existence of people from later on mean we must have gone home to do those things? Ashford implied I look different in his time, too. But I woke up here no different.
